Hi friends I have been stitching my kurtis for a while now and I have decided to gather some of the designs in my blog.
It is indeed a magical experience to see how a piece of cloth can be transformed into a beautiful dress.Just as the saying goes that "Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder" When i buy a cloth I start pondering on how i can make a beautiful dress with it.Some have necks ready to stitch.But the magic starts when you can design the neck yourself.
So when I got this set the combination of light green with blue was very attractive.I had planned to only give a piping to the neck with the pant cloth.
I have stitched a green colour kurti with lining. It has a U neck with a button Patti.I have used the blue colour pant cloth as piping along the neck.It is very simple to do this.You can checkout the Button Patti post in my other blog Sew your dream. So let us get back to the story ,When I saw the blue on the green I decided to create a neck design for this dress with simple stitches. And lo behold I was very happy with the decision.Here is a picture.
Dont you agree with me?It is just a play of green and blue.I thought it added lot of vibrance with the dress.
I have used Herringbone stitch,Bullion knot,French knot,Lazy daisy and Fly stitch along with Stem stitch .I have put separate posts for Herringbone Lazy daisy or Detatched chain stitch and Stem stitch in my blog Sew your Dream.
