Baby sling bag

Hi friends, I stitched a sling bag yesterday with a baby pink colour cloth. It is a very easy version with only an inside pocket and a zip to close.

Hope you all like it. I have tried to illustrate with pictures but if you have any doubts you can put them in your comments.

I took a 9"by 9" cloth for the front and back. I took one piece of foam which comes with ready-made shirts and a lining cloth of the same dimension.
I have used a 5"by 5"piece of white cloth for the inside pocket.
I have attached foam to the front and not to the back.

You can see that I have kept the cloth foam and lining one below the other and stitched along the edges.

This is how the front looks on the right side.
Now for the back I have followed the same procedure as the front except that I have added a pocket on the inside part.
The back as it looks on the outside.

Now to fix the zip in between, I have followed the same procedure as always.
Please refer to my other blog http://sewyourdream.blogspot.com
I have explained this process in my earlier post named A Small purse.

The other side of the purse.
Now putting one on top of another stitch along the three edges.
Turn the bag inside out and attach the handle. With handles around 40"in length and 4 "wide .
Lo behold a cute little sling purse for your princess.

Thank you

Hi friends, I have another blog by the name of Sewyourdream.blogspot.com

You may all have seen it. I thought of starting this blog for my new set of creations.

I am planning to start a group to create a new line in home decor and dress designing. It is still in inception stage. I will need all your support to proceed. Please give your feedback.

It is a very big step to take and will be a dream come true. But I draw inspiration from all of you who showcase your ideas and share your talent and outlook.

All of us have dreams and none are small but only few take the initiative to try to make them come true. Please keep inspiring me and many others like me.

                         Thank you!!

Cushion cover

Hi friends, I have stitched a cushion cover set . I used a cloth which had designs placed diagonally across each other.
Stitching a kurti with that cloth could not bring the beauty of the designs placed in a diagonal pattern.
So I decided to stitch a cushion cover set using all the designs.
I cut and attached similar patterns and got a good effect. Hope you all like it.

The method was very simple, I took the dimensions of each cushion, added the extra 2" for stitching allowance.

For the bolsters I folded the two ends to get a Patti to insert the string to pull and tie the ends.

For the small and big cushions I added 4" to one side for the overlapping flap to get a neat finish. If you have any queries please leave your questions in the comments box below.

There can be three variations of the designs.

I am glad I could use the cloth effectively.
Hope you all like it.
 Thank you
